FLGS.

I rarely buy online--unless it's something you can only get from an online vendor (like Discount Hobby's "Boobarians" line of minis). Other than that, my local stores have it all--or can order it.

I once bought two 3e books at a mall store. I still feel guilty for my "instant gratification" curse overpowering my "support your FLGS" skill--and I have max ranks in that skill! :D

Boob...bar...rians..?
:p

my local gamestore is a haven of angry single minded snobs.

in my 3 visits i have been snubbed, mocked and ridiculed for my interest in D+D....

i used to live in a town with nice gamestores, but here in memphis i have as yet to find a viable option to online buying.

i have been received with "dude, if you don't play magic, you just aren't getting it" and when i went to buy the dmg-"well, i guess someone doesn't know what a cool game is"(i left, the book and the store)

being in a retailish field myself, i am amazed they are still in operation, out of the way, rude and cliquesih in the extreme.

I buy what I can locally, but my game store doesn't carry certain publishers for some reason. So I also buy from the EN World store.

Sigh... I can't seem to vote, but...

About 95% or more of my stuff is from the FLGS. Dragon's Lair (both locations) is great. I like the selection, I like the staff, and the Round Rock location is barely five minutes away. :)

The fact that I get a 25% discount on everything in the store because I work in the industry is a nice plus, too. :D

FLGS (Friendly Local Games Shop). And the one we have in toen (LA Mood's) is great - always have the newest stuff and even have a frequent buyer card (I've filled up 2 in less than six months!). Easy to do special orders from as well - and I like the people who run it. More than enough perks for me to give them my gaming dollars.

There are 2 other gaming stores in town (one is more of a comic book shop with a small amount of gaming stuff the other is like a clearing house where old games go to die) but neither matches up to Mood's.

I also go here pretty much exclusively, they've move 3 times (since I found them) but I keep coming back. I'm on my 5th frequent buyer card.

Barendd, the Boobarians are part of the Dark Ages line of figures. They only recently became available. We just started carrying the line, your local store may now have them. IFAIK, they are not in normal distribution, but the manufacturer's terms are pretty inviting.

My spouse buys our gaming supplies from his old hometown gaming store. Unfortunantly, due to distributor foo that retailer -gets- his books the day after a gaming store local to us starts selling the books. So, the books that Person B in the group was getting anyway, Person B buys them from our local gaming store and loans them to me for a weekend.

So we support both game stores :)
