Where is a good diety source for 3.0 or 3.5?

I wanted to expand on the rather narrow list of gods provided in the players handbook and DM's guide. Find new gods for new for strange and far away lands etc....can any one help me out?

Book of the Rightionous, its 3.0 bty Green Ronin, but really the rules in it are very small. It does not stat out the dieties, but defines them the church, their relationship, holy days, creation myths, etc.

What setting do you want?

Deities are quite specific to a setting, if you're still looking at the default Greyhawk setting of the Player's Handbook: http://www.wizards.com/rpga/downloads/LG_Deities_v1-3.zip Is a free download from WotC of all the deities for the Living Greyhawk campaign, 60 or so gods.

Forgotten Realms has a lot of deities, and they are detailed in the Forgotten Realms Campaign Setting and Faiths and Pantheons, but by-far the best treatment of the Faerunian deities was the Faiths & Avatars/Powers & Pantheons/Demihuman Deities trilogy of suppliments from 2nd Edition.

On Hallowed Ground for Planescape was a great sourcebook that had a big index of deities from every official D&D setting published at that time. It isn't 3rd Edition, so it doesn't have newer inventions like favored weapons & domains, but they aren't too hard to come up with.

Legends and Lore (http://www.wizards.com/dnd/files/LegendsAndLore.rtf) was another classic book detailing several real-world pantheons and legendary heroes and is also up for free download from WotC.

I'm not quite sure what you're asking for. If you want a "general" RPG pantheon I guess the Book of the Righteous fits the bill best, although Gods was also intended to serve this purpose (but got less-good reviews).
If you want information about deities just about any campaign setting has some. I've used Faiths and Pantheons (for the Forgotten Realms) in my games. It ain't that bad, although I find the stat blocks utterly useless. It certainly has lots and lots of gods detailed, from diverse and exotic lands... or at least summarized.
If you want to learn about the Greyhawk pantheon (that includes the standard PH deities), I suppose the Living Greyhawk Gazetter or something like that is in order? I really don't know.
There are also deities presented at each of the Complete X books, intended for the various classes; I suppose that together they would make a fairly decent pantheon. Maybe you can throw in the gods from the Expanded Psionics Handbook too.

Edit: On second thought, just listen to wingsandsword. He seems to know what he's talking about :)

It deserved them. Gods is not a book on Gods, it is a book on gods for the races that appear in Monster. For my dime, those were the two worst in the one word series AEG had.

This thread has pretty good ideas. Deities and Demigods is a fairly decent book detailing the major gods of Greyhawk and the fantasy versions of Egypt, Norse, and Greece. I used the existing gods for the basis of my homebrew world (largely Norse in flavor). I'd recommend mostly if you can get a deep discount on it or buy it used, since the majority of the stat blocks are useless (I paid full price  ).

I've always wanted to read BotR, but I could never find a decent discount on it (online or in-store) to justify the purchase price.

I love BotR - A great resource for a homebrewer developing a pantheon.

Also, The Divine & Defeated should be mentioned ( Scarred Lands SSS - 3.0 book ) - A classic tale borrowing from the ancient greek origin of the gods, featuring a complete pantheon of unique deities.

I'd suggest Complete Divine (gasp), as it has 24 new deities, expanded descriptions of the old core deities and 19 new domains.

As noted, the Living Greyhawk gods chapter also is pretty good, and you can get the bare bones in the Living Greyhawk download.

Cheers!

Book of the Righteous is good resource, noteworthy for the fact is provides a lot of useful detail on what the religious organizations of the deities are like.

If you want open content deities and not a lot of frills except for what you can use (i.e., npcs and maps), Temples & Shrines is a good resource.

And I liked Gods. Just recognize that it is trying to "balance out" the selection of deities for monstrous races.

2e FR sourcebooks, powers and pantheons, demihuman deities, and faiths and avatars, just add in domains for each in 3e and you are good to go.

Those three books are some of the best deity sourcebooks I have ever read, informative, lots of neat details, and I found them fun to read, although the tiny type on colored background was a bit annoying and you won't get much use out of the stats or 2e classes outside of inspiration for making your own 3e versions.
