Where is the GSL?

Scott, you're certainly not responsible for the sins of TSR, but you're stuck with 'em anyways. Sorry, man. People hope for the best and fear the worst.

Personally, I'm not worried in the least. The people at WotC know how important fan sites are. I expect any policy to be reasonable.

With all the copy/pasting from the illegal pdf's, I think WoTC would have reacted by now, if they were going to. I doubt we will see anything affecting ENworld negatively. No-one at WotC is that stupid.
Yeah, at some points, I just thought "Wow! I would've gone completely mad at this point, but WotC's guys are still posting here!"

They're swell guys.

Cheers, LT.

This. I've been behind the digital forms of Dragon and Dungeon, from the beginning and will almost certainly be subscribing, even if my group is still attached to the 3.5 game I'm running.

That said, the draconian Internet/fan site policies TSR enacted in the early 1990s were the last straw for me and I ended up leaving the game behind in 1992 or 1993 and didn't look back until WotC bought them and 3e was announced.

You guys have generally done right by me, but that doesn't stop a knee-jerk WTF? reaction and some general unease.

I was lucky, TSR left me alone, maybe because it was late in the day and the TSR lawyers had better things to do (as I asked them directly and got told it was a "grey area" and the person was nice about things, so my site stayed up...just D&D art and home brew rules)

Interesting point: (Dragon magazine Paizo days) used one of my Spelljammer ships almost directly (right down to the flag I'd designed for the Tradesman), but they apologized, honest mistake on reference material and it was cool.
I keep forgetting to put that factoid on my site though, sigh, I'm so dumb!

heck Spelljammer *is* WOTC copyright, I'm just a fan artist doing it for nada, just expect and hope 'em not to jump on my ass and appreciate my work :)

*waves at Scott, while casting anti-lawyer hexes!* :p

*edit*
"WOTC lawyers" ?!? I meant TSR lawyers!! jeesh...anyone got a replacement brain, handy? This one's past its sell by date! ;)

Getting back on track with my original question...

Scott, are you at liberty to say why the GSL was delayed by another week? If you can't say, that's cool with me, I'm just being nosy. And impatient.

I just figure that, since the 3rd party publishers can't release anything til October anyway, a few days give or take to wait for the GSL is no skin off my nose.
