Where is your FLGS? Is it near an interstate?

I'd feel safer stopping at the TA near Harrisburg (About 10 miles north of the split) than trying to navigate Harrisburg with all the construction that's going on. Also, PA cloverleafs are notoriously dangerous to navigate for trucks.

Okay, here's the stores that I frequent:

Discount Hobby, Battle Creek, MI. Located just a block from the I-94/I-196 interchange. Take exit 98 south off I-94, and make a right at the light. There will be a Target just to your left, and Discount Hobby shares that building. It's near the back of the parking lot, the second to the last store. Should be no trouble parking a truck there.

Titan Games, Battle Creek, MI. Tons of selection of older materials. Take I-196 north off I-94 to the Columbia Ave exit. Head west on Columbia and make a right at the second light, Capital. Titan Games is just a couple blocks ahead on your right. There's a large, usually empty parking lot behind the store, and there should be room for a truck.

Fanfare, Kalamazoo, MI. Corner of Westnedge and Kilgore, about 1 mile north of exit 76B off I-94. Shares a shopping center with an Office Depot, Big Lots, and Peter Piper Pizza. Best bet for parking is to turn right on Kilgore then left into the shopping center, and park at the east end of the building near the Big Lots.

Game Shop, Kalamazoo, MI. This one is about half a mile north of Fanfare, also on Westnedge. Parking might be a little rough unless you're there on the weekend or summer, when you could easily park in the lot of the elementary school next door.

By far the best store in the area is Underworld Comics in Ann Arbor. Unfortunately, it's within spitting distance of the U of M campus and a pain in the ass to get to with a car, let alone a semi.

Dragon's Lair in Round Rock, Texas, is less than 100 yards off I-35. It is in a large shopping center with plenty of parking for your rig.

One of my FLGSs is right off the interstate (in Milwaukee, WI). Parking is total crapage, but there are a few large stores nearby. I will check it out and report back within the week.

I'm not sure if making the thread sticky will help you much (sticky threads aren't really a guarantee for more views - and it's also a slow day so far), but I did make it sticky.

I run all 48 states pretty much at random, though I tend to be in the south more than anywhere else.

First off, as an Alaskan, I take immense offense to that statement. Last time I checked, there were 50 stars on the flag and fifty states in the union.

Maybe I missed a memo.



Now that that's out of the way, my FLGS is in Aurora, CO. It's called Attactix. It's not too far off I-225, and there's stuff going on there all the time.

Well, there isn't squat in Cedar Rapids, IA for gaming stores.

I definitely recommend you check out either of the Ames stores, though. Mayhem is pretty much the biggest/coolest comics and gaming store I've been in (of course, I live in Iowa, so YMMV -- but it beats anything I've seen in the Twin Cities or St. Louis). There's one in Des Moines, too, but I don't think there's anyplace nearby that you could park a truck.

The PC Dungeon is a bit smaller, but I've known one of the owners for years. They've got a decent selection and are _passionate_ about the games.

The Source is a good store if you are in MN. It is about 2 mi from 35W and maybe 3 from 35E. There are always games of some sort going on. Miniatures, board games, card games, and role playing. Here is a link with an address. It is attached to a furniture store and an appliance store. The large lot on the side of the appliance store is always empty (the spaces near the FLGS are always full with customers).

Reality show

I just had a thought, doesnt happen to often but every once in awhile....

Starting on the east coast a band of gamers in a winnabego, head out across America to hit every game store in every state.
Meanwhile we film the higinx for GMTV(Game master television), and have someone like Gary Gygax or Ed Greenwood host the show.
We could call it something like Road Rule Zero, or GameTrek.
Make the mix of gamers just like the other reality shows do, some ethnic gamers and female gamers as well as your run of the mill geeks.

What do you guys think? Would any of you participate if asked?
