Where is your FLGS? Is it near an interstate?

Nan's has been around since 1960 and has pretty much everything you could imagine. Comics, games, RPGs, toys, etc.

Don't know where you'd park though.

I've been there once, when I was in Houston for a seminar. I couldn't remember the name of it though. I found it the first time in the Yellow Pages. Good store, I bought the original Star Wars RPG game there, when it had just come out.

Now that that's out of the way, my FLGS is in Aurora, CO. It's called Attactix. It's not too far off I-225, and there's stuff going on there all the time.

Rather than post directions (since I don't know where you'd be coming from), I'll post a link. You can do the rest.

Good luck!

First, off I like this store - in fact was there today. However, given Michael's needs, it won't work - the parking lots around simply will not accomodate a semi - and I am not sure if the new construction at Parker and Hamden can allow a semi under the bridge.

When it comes to truckers you either run dedicated, regional, 48 states, or your a border runner (canada, alaska, and/or mexico)

When a trucker says they run the 48 it means they dont go to alaska, canada, or mexico. As a trucker needs a special permit to go into canada, even its its just to cross over to alaska, and the laws on comercial drivers entering Canada is very strict there is not a large number of CDL drivers that can or even want to go into canada.

::snip::

Canada isn't *that* bad. When I worked for Swift I routinely ran Canada. I am quite familiar with the border crossing gig. My current carrier doesn't run Canada though.

There's a store called Paperback Bazaar in Somersworth, New Hampshire, about 15 - 20 minutes from Portsmouth and I-95. It shares a strip mall with a grocery store and a slew of other little storefronts, there's a large parking lot, and numerous restaurants around. They run regular games, but I don't know the times -- they have a VERY well run website at www.paperbackbazaar.com

To get there, take Rt 16 aka Spaulding Turnpike off of I-95. (Rt 16 is a multi-lane highway for most of the distance). Take Exit 9 off Rt 16 and turn right at the top of the ramp. Go straight through about 3 sets of lights in 3/4 of a mile, passing a Chilis and Unos restaurants* (among others) and look for the Tri-City Plaza on your right; there is a delivery entrance a few hundred feet before the lights at the main entrance to the Plaza. PB is in the center of the mall, midway between the Market Basket grocery store and TJ Maxx.

*The PB website notes, if you are stopping for food, please call first. They may be hungry too.

It's right off the highway, no bridges, easy food, good all around comic/gaming/book store with instore activities.

If your ever in Central Oklahoma,

Ivory and Steel
211 N Perkins Rd Ste 14
Stillwater OK 74075

Shares a parking lot with Walmart so easily accessible (with a short walk)

Stillwater is just a couple of miles off I-35 and just South of US-412. Ivory and Steel itself sits on US-177

Dragon's Lair in Round Rock Texas, just north of Austin, sits right on IH35. There are a Target, Wal-Mart, and Home Depot all at the same corner. Here is a link to their website and a copy/paste of their address.
