Pathfinder 1E Where should Pathfinder Threads Go?

I'm also of the opinion that Pathfinder should go to the OGL forum. I hope the added traffic helps give some other OGL games some love! I'd say we give it a week or two, though. Let people get Pathfinder frenzy out of their system.

Right now, I think that as an alternative to 4E, it belongs in the 4E forum. In a couple weeks, it should probably go to OGL.

Having said that, would it be better to get people in the habit of posting about Pathfinder in the OGL forum now?

I think I can buy that line of reasoning. I agree on letting it go for a few weeks. Should we post & sticky a thread to let people know where Pathfinder stuff should go? And if so, should we do it now, or wait until we're ready to make the change?

I expect people who don't want to play 4e are not going to want to (or think to) go to a 4e forum to discuss what else they want to play. They are probably actively avoiding said forum, and I'm not at all sure we want to drive them into 4e to talk about some other game in the midst of stuff they don't like...

To my mind, the "alternative" line isn't the issue - everything that isn't 4e is an alternative to 4e. The question seems more "is it more like other OGL games, or more like 3.x?"

I think you'll find that people won't follow it into the OGL forum in notable numbers, at least not until after it is established and has a solid following.

:p Have you been to the 4e forum lately? ;)

As for the timing of the move, I think that once we decide we're ready to enforce that move, then we make the announcement. Otherwise, we'll have all the vigilante-mods petulantly whinging about how we're destroying their lives because we haven't gotten every single Pathfinder thread out.

No complaints yet. :)
Except for Belen. And his complaint makes me want to mean-spiritedly move them all right now.

Which is why I'm a decent moderator... I know when to ignore my vindictive qualities. Heh.

Actually, I was quite startled once I tracked it down at how little it made me want to roll my eyes.

Is he improving?
