Where to get individual minis in the UK?

I have a nigh on encyclopedic knowledge of American sites (Auggies, etc.) but have no idea where to get minis in Britain. The sites I've stumbled across have all been hilariously more expensive than the states (about double to triple!).

I'm afraid they're all that expensive. Living in Denmark, I always buy my minis in the US. Even if they get caught in customs, which will hugely increase the price due to tax and fees and s:):)t, they are still way cheaper than getting them from the UK.

Now, don't get me started on Danish pricing of minis - thay are almost Paizo-like!! ;)

I haven't been able to find a UK-based store with reasonably priced mini singles. Living in Norway, I order all my singles from the US, most often Troll & Toad. Paizo's prizes are so high that my head explodes; away them with it comes to minis. Auggies is the prefered place to get minis for most americans, it seems. When I asked Auggies for shipping prices to Europe, I got a bizarre answer that he couldn't really say, and that I shouldn't bother to order from him at all. This was a couple of years back. Troll & Toad's prices are sometimes a little bit higher than Auggie's prices and sometimes a little bit lower.

Another reason I always order from the states, is the current exchange rate. Since the dollar is very weak and the norwegian kroner very strong, i get much more for my money.

Also, even though I can (according to norwegian law) only order for about 200 kroners (about 35$) before I get hit by customs - making it much more expensive - I have made orders for almost 130$ at Troll and Toad without having to pay extra due to custom taxes. All in all I've spent over 1500$ dollars (spread out over several orders) at T&T with *nothing* caught in customs ;)

This sounds bizarre. I've ordered from Auggies many a time without any problems at all. Indeed, the few times there has been an issue, such as a missing or broken mini, Auggie has solved it perfectly.

Do Troll & Toad put an invoice in the package? This is crucial when it comes to the 'customs lottery'.

They usually have an invoice, but very often (almost always), even though I order for 100 bucks, it reads "total value: 10$".

I had a similar experience, so I gave up trying to order auggies to the UK. I ordered auggies while on holiday in the US once and several minis were missing, for which I was charged, OTOH what I did get was still good value.

Did you contact Auggies about the missing minis?

I've never experienced anything but outstanding customer service from Auggies.

I've been shipping overseas orders from the U.S. for several years now. I wasn't going to promote myself in this thread, but seeing as how Auggies and Troll & Toad are being mentioned, I suppose I should mention my own minis store. Troll & Toad keeps buying out my inventory to resell on their site, so my stock on older minis is a little low at the moment. But I should be restocking my inventory in the next week or two.

Oh, and I'm very familiar with international shipping, so customs is not an issue.

I've also ordered from Auggies (I'm from Germany). I think, I know, what Vicar In A Tutu was referring to:

When _I_ asked Auggies for shipping prices to Europe, I got a (bizarre?) answer that he couldn't really say, and that I should feel free to order from him, but I'd have to add a relatively high, hypothetical shipping price in advance.

Then after figuring out the actual shipping cost, I'd get a refund for the difference - which I did. So, in the end all was well.

If this procedure is a bit bizarre, it's probably not really Auggies fault.
