If we're just talking kicked, then the face - chances are I'd have reeled back enough to not get more than a lost tooth or bloody eye. Kicked in the groin for a male will stop a fight, and get you killed.

If we're talking weapon (club, spear, or knife) then probably groin, because you still may get stopped in combat either way - but loss of the "family treasure" is not as permanentaly damaging to a happy life as a caved-in skull.

Of course, the kick could kill you too, but it's less likely.
