Either way it doesn't make much of a difference. I just find a friendly neighborhood cleric and get the bits grown back.

Regardless of the mechanical differences, (I don't recall the Torn Asunder specifics off the top of my head) I would ask for face, given the choice. In imagining my character I would definitely prefer that.
