Where's the Green Slime?

Green slime shows up in Return to the Moathouse, an RPGA adventure that I wrote for Origins '08. I think you can still download the adventure through the RPGA.

In the adventure, the slime is a combination trap/hazard. It makes an initial attack as it falls and does ongoing damage on a hit. When the PC saves, or if it misses, it moves to the nearest open square. Thereafter, it attacks the nearest creature until it lands on a new victim, and so forth until destroyed.

That might not serve as the canonical version, but it worked well enough when I ran the adventure.

Cool I'll check it out.

Yea I went thru the DMG b/c I knew it was a hazard didn't find it either, but old habits die hard. Heck I still call these new fangled adventures or adventure paths modules  So you kids get off my lawn!!!

I thought Green Slime was the Slimy Doom disease.

I think that would be a good template for green slime. Give it different DCs depending on the strength of the slime and you're good to go.

Dealing Fire damage might allow you to make another Endurance check, with the amount of the damage done as a bonus to the roll.

It will probably be a trap or skill challenge since it just drops onto its victims, but with 4th it is to save-or-die probably to exist in any formal format in a core book.
