Which 80s wargames and adventure games do you still play

I own a History of the World (the 1993 Avalon Hill version) that I would love to get to the table again (last time was over thanksgiving with my then 14 year old son, who is now 26 - he fell asleep under the table between turns). That's the closest to an 80's board game I've got, and I'm definitely stretching the definition of "still playing"
We used to play it in the 90s, 5 or 6 players. Great fun. Civilization was the other big game.

I was born in 1981. Haven’t heard of any of those games before. Are they board games or computer games or what?
you never heard of Car Wars? 1980 Steve Jackson Games it was inspired by Deathrace 2000 and in turn inspired GURPS Autoduel. It also had a 2002 update and card game.
Fun times

I've played Wizards Quest and another I cant recall where you got to be a giant faction
I got to admit I dont know the others

Nope! Guess it just wasn't ever on my family's radar when I was growing up. We played things like Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Stratego, Uno, Battleship, Parcheesi, Clue, Life, card games, etc. Stuff like that.

Played a lot of Car Wars over the years. Not so much the last few. I have backed the Kickstarters on the game proper and a couple of later expansions and mini collections.

Star Fleet Battles was a popular game with my group. Recently found my SFB stuff and bought the updated rule book.

Battletech is another one that we have played over the years.

Don't know if it is an 80's game but Risk.

Classic Battletech in the "still playing" camp. A small smattering of Car Wars, but that was trying out the new 6e rules from the recent-ish kickstarter so not the old black box/compendium game. Been thinking about Renegade Legion but haven't played. Would love to do Top Secret, but would use a modern ruleset (and would not use Top Secret NWO). :)
