Which audio formats to use?

I am in the process of reburning my audio cd collection and wandering which format would be best in file size and quality to burn them, wmp or mp3?

I'd stick with at least 192k vari mp3 for max compatibility.

I would stick with mp3 as well to maintain as much compatibility across various playback devices and software as possible.
