Possible. Although the fact that everyone picked up PHB II should tell you something. And not that everyone automatically buys WotC books. I know many psionics lovers, for example, that refused to buy Complete Psionics. People bought the PHB II simply because it is a solid book.

I find that the Atlas (Penumbra) books are excellent. So Dynasties and Demigogues got my vote.

Crime and Punishment got my first vote, an excellent book for urban campaigns. I then added Spell Compendium because it is a great compiled resource for spells and the PHB II for the very nice variants that it adds.
