I find it interesting, for example, that he repeatedly states that he wants to know which adventures we'd like to see revamped for "3e" instead of version 3.5. That strikes me as a little odd.

More information needed, please.

Assuming that this isn't a prank (even though I'm still suspicious of the OP's intent), I voted for "Other Please Specify," because I really can't remember that adventure from way back then. It would be a surprise for me now, and I'm all for that.

I just wish the dialogue here was a little more honest and up front.

Well, there is Eric Mona's secret project for other stuff, but nobody really knows for sure what it is. (edit: Except perhaps Eric and a handful of others who aren't talking)

The Isle of Dread (the island, not the adventure) was revisited in Dungeon 114 as an adventure placed there, and there was a backdrop article on the island there entitled "Torrents of Dread".

The current Savage Tide Adventure Path running in Dungeon returns there yet again at some point as I understand it.
