And it's too bad that the most radical change, i.e., the power structure, is not among the big winners.

That's pretty much a given though, isn't it? I mean, it's a polarising change and I can understand why 3E fans wouldn't like it. As a 4E fan myself, I'm glad they went along with it. For better or worse, it would just be a more polished, refined 3rd edition without it.

I was surprised how little I liked from this list when it came down to it:

* Skill Acquisition (Distinguish Untrained/trained/focus)
* Half Level Bonus to d20 and defenses (attacks, skills, AC etc.)
* Combat Advantage as "catch-all" for advantagous combat position.
* Tiers of Play

The rest I'm either ambivalent about or dislike.

On the other hand, I like several things which didn't make it into the poll

* healing surges
* death and dying
* artifacts
* fixed hit points
