Well, I absorbed "The Witch's Handbook" last night and must say I like it. It does a fairly good job of accomodating folks like me who beleive that you should limit proliferation of core classes... if a "witch" to you is a sorcerer or a druid, then you can just dispense with the witch core class and use the remaining material in the book. The book would also accomodate AEG's Witch as well if you want something a little more different than the witch presented here.
Plus, the book uses the R&R ritual system (which I have always liked) and provides some excellent additions to it. The promise of the OGL is bearing fruit -- I like it!
Oh, yeah... putting Stephanie Law and Storn on interior illustrations gives the book a VERY snazzy look.
