Which game is the most fun?

Which of the following games is the most fun?

Savage Worlds is the most fun. Cards, chips & dice, oh my! It really takes the fun parts of the Deadlands system and streamlines it so that the game is much, much easier to prepare & run (about 90% easier than d20) yet remains complex enough for the players to keep them interested. I had a blast running Savage Worlds, and my crew had fun playing it. I can't wait to get another game going. The d20 to SW conversion guide is one (1) page. And, you can get a free test drive set of rules to try it out.

We also had fun with WFRP for a few weeks. I house ruled a couple of things to make combat faster and more favorable to the players, but it is still a lot of dice rolling. Attack, parry, then results rolls. It's just a lot of percentile dice. It is neat that all you need is d10s, but the base game is a little too grim & gritty for me. Karak Azgal is such a good module that I kept it alone when I sold off my other WFRP books. I would Savage it or run it with d20--it's that good.

I've never played d20 Future, but I think it's an expansion of d20 Modern. I had d20M, read it and got rid of it. Just not compelling to me.

And uh, can I vote for the only one I've never played? :heh:

Well, that'd be Savage Worlds, anyway. It looks (and sounds) like a lot of fun. I suggest reading Flynn's actual play thread(s) - should still be on page 1 or 2 here, hopefully.

WFRP is not without its problems, and d20 Future, likewise. That is, if WFRP 2e is anything like 1e. And that's assuming you're talking about 2e in the first place. :)

If you haven't tried a non-d20 game, or at least not for a while, do that. Er, that's my advice.

Seems to be a couple non-d20 options missing from that poll.

Glaring omissions (to me at least) are...
- HERO system
- AEG's Roll'n'Keen for Legend of 5 Rings (particularly 3rd edition) and 7th Seas
- WEG's d6 system

Of the various non-d20 systems I've played, I've probably had the most fun with d6 (due to Star Wars). Deadlands Classic was also a hoot, so I guess you could say I'm predisposed to Savage Worlds since that was based on the Deadlands system.

I've played the d6 game, and we had fun playing it, but there were some major problems with play - namely that adding the dice got to be a hassle sometimes, and the damage system just didn't seem to work.

Regarding the other two, though - I'm sure they're great, but I don't want to put down any more cash for a game. I've got d20 Future (and even ran a tiny bit of it), Savage Worlds, and WFRP - I just want to know which of the three is generally the most enjoyable.

To everyone else: thanks a lot for the input. And Diaglo - one day I might actually take you up on that.

Can I vote against Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay? The career system is the stupidest idea I've seen in a popular game.
Hey, seconded. I've tried all three systems and didn't like them enough to contine playing.

Can I recommend something like Exalted? It's an easy fit for D&D players and comes with super high praise.
