I use experts in the greatest variety (as they can be expert in many things, some helpful to the PC's some not).

Warriors are the most numerous encountered but tend to have the least variance.

Aristocrats appear as and when, usually at competent levels.

I don't stat up commoners unless theirs a reason why afterwards (like the wench that actually survived in a village of the damned type scenario who's survival made her special).

Imc...

Expert and Warrior. None of the others see use.

Adepts: NPC casters use PC Caster Classes.
Aristocrat: social station isn't a class, its background.
Commoner: "commoners" are experts, warriors or rarely low level PC classed.
Expert: NPCs who are not Warriors or PC classes are experts.
Warriors: martial NPCs of all shapes and sizes. Elite martial NPCs use PC classes.

All but commoner, plus "other" -- I use a few homebrewed NPC classes (Brute -- lite barbarian; Bandit -- lite rogue; and Cultist -- lite sorcerer).

Are those "lite" ideas of your own design or based on something from a d20 supplement?
