Just the other day I thought about the fact that we have never ever seen a balance check in our campaign... either a Dex check is asked for or the situation for tightrope walking never shows up.... so what are the useless skills in your games ?

VOTE FOR 3 skills... the least used.

i don't know about your group, but we use balance, disguise, innuedo, jump, read lips, use magic device and use rope ALL the time.

Balance is very rare at best... and jump has been made so useless you either have it very high or dont bother without using spells....

Ninja campaign wasnt hard...

Aside from Craft and Profesion (those are more down time skills) the rest if these skills are up to the PCs ti use. I use skills all the time. They are very useful in game. If the skills aren't being used in game then either you aren't trying of the DM is not allowing them.

In my group, they would be Disguise, Decipher Script and Read Lips. Disguise has come up once, the other two never have.

Situations where Decipher Script would have been applicable have been handled via magic. Our rogue is more of a locks and traps kind of guy, so I don't believe he has any ranks in Disguise or Read Lips. Those of us with it untrained have never considered attempting to Read Lips. The one Disguise attempt involved my druid spying on a group of orc farmers in the form of a cow, which I managed to pull off rather well.
