D&D 5E (2014) Which Official D&D Books Are Your Favourite?

Xanathar has the best cover of 5e IMO. Since I have not read all these books, I can only judge them by thei cover (and I have read Xanathar too ha)

For me, it’s Tasha’s that has the best cover.

Tomb of Annihilation's chapter with a Gazetteer of Chult made me want to order plane tickets the first time I read it. Too bad that the Death Curse ticking timer gets in the way of PCs exploring it too.

There's definitely an age element -- newer books get fewer votes, which I suspect is because fewer people have them yet. The older a book, the greater the chance you'll have used it.

Wild Beyond Witchlight is only the second campaign book I've picked up and wanted to run "as is" rather than tearing it apart for parts - Curse of Strahd being the other. I haven't run Witchlight yet, but as a read through I'm dying to.

Tasha's is the best rules expansion book as far as I'm concerned - lots of good stuff in there.

And of course Ravenloft and Eberron setting books will get a thumbs up for me - very nicely done reimaginings of both settings.

I’m a big fan of monster books, so Volo’s, Mordenkainen’s, and Fizban’s are top favorites for me.

Wildemount is one book I have used a bunch as inspiration for my world.

Honorable mention goes to the Tyranny of Dragons complication as well. I love Dragons and Tiamat.

Rime of the Frostmaiden is my favourite. It's exactly what I want in an adventure. Curse of Strahd is my runner up. I like horror in my D&D.

I didn't know Ghosts of Saltmarsh was so popular. Maybe I should check it out.

Fizban's is the only one where I'm liking everything in it. Which is extra odd, since I've hated most of the new lore for 5e.

Yeah, Curse of Strahd being the #1 adventure is no surprise, but pleasantly surprised by Saltmarsh's runner-up ranking.

Dang. This thread made me realize how much I didn’t like 5e.

I only chose Theros and Storm King’s Thunder.
