Acquisitions Inc. aint new! Although I don't think it sold many copies. There's definitely an age element -- newer books get fewer votes, which I suspect is because fewer people have them yet. The older a book, the greater the chance you'll have used it.
Am with you on those choices. Eberron is one of my favourite 'official' settings (can't include Ptolus, Golarion or Midgard!) & am looking forward to Keith's sandbox setting when it finally is printed!Picked Eberron as the best overall. "Curse of Strahd" is the best of the adventures, but suffers in comparison with the original. The next best, IMO, is "Rime of the Frostmaiden".
I didn't pick either Volo's or Mordenkainen's guides, as I don't particularly care for either as a whole. However, the sections on new monsters are great. (Similarly, I'm guessing "Monsters of the Multiverse" is a winner, though I don't own it.) Finally, "Storm King's Thunder" is not a particularly good adventure, but I really like the concept, think it makes for a great setting guide, and has some really good dungeons in there.
Also, wasn't there a compiled volume of the "Tyranny of Dragons" campaign? Shouldn't that be on the list?
Yes... this is it! Anything by the Kobolds..... & MCG's Ptolus setting & all its support.... Ruins of Symbaroum 5e (Free League), Cubicle 7's Adventures in Middle Earth.....& Beowulf 5e & Scarred Lands by Onyx Path!I chose Eberron and Tasha's. This poll hammered home the fact that I vastly prefer 3rd party books. Love the Kobold Press monster books, Beowulf, EN Masterclass, and Valder's Spire.
