Which path?

DiFier

First Post
I am currentlly playing a Fighter1/Wizard6/Spellsword8 charachter. I am planing on filling out the spell sword at 17th level. F1/W6/SS10. The question is then what.

I could take 1 level of fighter and 2 levels of wizard (which will give me BAB+16, 4attacks, and a caster level of 13) or I could take three levels of Eldridth Knight. (same BAB and caster level) or The UA Human paragon. (again same BAB and caster level) (I think, I don't have the book yet but I looked at my DMs)

My question is which is better. I'm leaning toward human paragon cause I get to pick my class skills. and cause of the +2 to any stat. (I don't think it has a bonus feat) the other to class paths have the bonus feat. and if I go wizard my familiar improves.

any suggestions?

Definitely go Human Paragon... UA is an amsome book.

Eldritch warrior doesn't bump the caster level, if I remember right, so it's probably not what he's looking for.

Human paragon does give a bonus feat, at 2nd level, and a +3 will save. Eldritch knight would give you +3 fortitude only, and the fighter/wizard combo will give you +1 Fort, +0 Ref, and +2 Will.

Speaking as your DM, though, the other half of this is how you see Di'Fier developing - a human paragon ought to be someone who defines the essence of humanity. In this case, its versatility and adaptability. Fortunately for you, Di'Fier's a pretty good example, blending fighting and magic.

In my considered opinion, I'd go for the human paragon (and pick some class skills to help you be a better Baron!)

The fourth option would be to go through the books and see if there's any *other* prestige classes that fit, but I think he'd be best served with the human paragon and then going back into Spellsword if and when we break the Epic barrier.

The one that sounds, to you, like it would be the most fun.

I agree with your sentiment but then I'd take another level of spell sword, but I can't do that untill 21st level.

I am definitally thinking human paragon.

I may go crazy and NOT use the +2 to an attribute, on intelligence. It might be wisdom or chrasma which are both 10s
