I've got a hexblade who uses an assortment of daggers and darts. He carries a Halberd so using any two handed missile weapons is challanging at best.

Well, she started with a longbow, went to a composite short bow, and just got a composite greatbow. She has daggers and a whip, but so far as the only ranged attacker in the group gets little use of these.
With her +10 bonus from dex she also can take the -4 for unusual weapons and still do better attack wise then her melee str. bonus :)

Use lots of light crossbows (being simple weapons means anyone can do it). Also like slings and darts

I have a character who is a juggler and master knifethrower

the Other refers to Alchemist Fire and Tanglefoot bags which are the primary weapons of my gnome character. He also uses caltrops but I'm not sure if they count as weapons

Of recent characters I can think of: shortbow, hand crossbow, daggers, and other (lots of alchemist's fire, throwing axes, and boomerangs). The longbow was never realy all that thematically appropriate for my characters, it's a war weapon and I tend to play things like hunters, theives and scouts.

You also forgot halflings and the ever popular choice "range weapons are for wimps!"

One of the other PCs in our game refuses to use a standard range weapons but has been known to throw the bodies of fallen enemies in a pinch (The character is rather large and very strong).

I always promise myself that in the next campaign I'll use a range weapon other than a short bow but somehow I always end up with one. In our latest campaign that we're only 5 games into, I've remained steadfast and have only used throwing daggers. Of course, now my DM assures me that he'll make sure I get one very soon :heh:

None.

I really like ranged weapons, but I cannot say my characters actually use them (unless you count spells).

My paladin carries a short composite bow -- it is roleplaying choice as a trained cavalryman. My druid carries a sling but has long since graduated to Produce Flame. I once had a ranger that would use Quickdraw and swapped between longbow and TWF.

Comp longbows are definately the big winner for PC's in my campaign, and when I get the chance to run a PC myself, that's what I usually use, too.

95% of the time in my campaign it's a composite long bow. The rogue/sorceror has thrown her dagger once or twice.

The bad guys have used heavy crossbows, tanglefoot bags, javelins and alchemist's fire.
