My fighter/rogue uses a comp. longbow and a throwing dagger.

My bard/sorceress/shadowdancer uses a hand crossbow and a throwing dagger.

Where's the love for the heavy crossbow? Less than 5%?! I'm going to go out on a limb here and say it's because of the 1/2 rate of fire......

If you are a halfling, try darts. Nice and light and do damage comparable to daggers!


But my halfling dart-thrower isn't my current character. My new character is a sea-storm cleric who tosses a trident.

Spells

The one in the list I have used most is the Composite Longbow, my favourite choice. If the character doesn't have a Str bonus, then it's of course the normal Longbow instead. Third choice is the Light Crossbow, but only in case I'm not proficient with bows.

Light crossbow and a whip, but only if there is no way to make it burn. The Heavy Repeating Crossbow calls to me.

Ranger/Fighter/DeepwoodSniper uses a Composite Long Bow, Throwing axe, carries a couple of daggers and a Bola (no profi w/thou).

I think all of my characters have used a ranged weapon of some type- lt cross bow for the wizard and the rogue and daggers
