I voted FR, but actually it's a FR/AQ/KT/PS/SJ combo. We certainly don't stick to one area of the Realms - too limiting.

Wow! Right now the homebrew is winning significantly. I am impressed.

As for me, I run a homebrew that is constantly evolving. Aside from the obvious, new maps & new politics, I have a complete pantheon of Gods and have begun to customize the planar setup. It works for me since few of my players have much in the way of none-core books. I suppose it might be very frustrating for a knowledgable new player to come into, at least until I have it all documented for the players to read through.

Currently, Forgotten Realms, but my group is so diverse in tastes, that we can't run only one game at a time. We'll run Forgotten Realms a While, Mutants and Masterminds, a homebrew or two, and then probably whatever else strikes our fancy.

Since we only meet about 3 times a month, there are too many games, too little time. :D

Why bother with someone else's world when I can create my own?

I have yet to find a pre-packaged world that I like, and if it has game novelizations it's even worse...

Turning novels into games can be okay, but games into novels?

Forgotten Realms for my upcoming campaign. I will be using Zhakara and Maztica, and have placed Atlas' Nyambe to the south of Maztica. I also use Kara Tur, and steal bits from Rokugan for the east when needed.

As the new campaign is pirate based (go Pirates of the Carribean!) I am adding Green Ronin's Freeport to the Inner Sea. Heck, I might find a place for their upcoming, India-style, psionics setting somewhere in the Realms. God I love modular setting material. This is starting to sound more like a homebrew Realms. Hmmmmm.

I am not surprised that homebrews are winning the poll. I have created several over the years, the most recent was for a high-level, save-the-world (they didn't) mini-series that finished up in spring after a 1 year run.

Didn't WotC do dome research that indicate that most people use homebrews? I tought that was obe of the reasons they got rid of the less successful lines and concentrated on FR, what with its higher sales numbers.
