I actually did not vote for Scarred Lands, a while back I tried to loot it, and it ended up looting me (i.e. I was inspired to buy a few more books and run a full-fledged Scarred Land campaign).

This was my experience as well. They didn't reprint material between books, so if you bought a book that hinged around a particular monster (i.e. Hollowfaust) you had to get the monster book for the stats. Then you found out more about the other areas in the campaign, so you picked up those books. Pretty soon you end up selling your own blood for a first printing copy of Relics and Rituals 2. I pawned my second cousin to serve as a footboy to a Tibetian warlord just so I could get Creature Collection. It wasn't pretty, but at least I have the book.

I voted for basically for everything I have access to ATM. As I buy more stuff for, the list will probably expand.

For the 'others', there is:

Greyhawk
Dragonlance
Mystara
Spelljammer
Dark Sun
Planescape
Birthright
Warhammer World
Glorantha
Earthdawn
Shadowrun
GURPS Fantasy

I've been a bit confused by some replies. Some of the settings don't have any D20 gaming material, like Harn or Warhammer. Is there Glorantha D20, much less GURPS D20  out there?

I'm just curious because the poll seemed to be asking what settings are worth looting for D20 stuff, not what settings are worth looting for cool stuff generally. Am I right?

I read it to mean what gaming products you draw material from. After all there is the "non-d20" option on the poll.

For me, the non-D20 stuff I draw in is usually mood or feeling. However, I do convert material over from other systems from time to time, so essentially it becomes D20 material. (At least for me.)

I didn't read it as necessarily looting mechanics, but also as in looting concepts, monsters, even characters, locations, tone or theme.

Really, I don't think there's a setting out there that doesn't have something worth looting, and it depends on what I'm interested in running currently. I'll loot anything in the right circumstances.

you didn't read some of those 11000+ submissions to the WotC new setting contest....

edit: nor go to discussions about them afterwards. to me it sounded like some of them really didn't have anything worth looting
