Which system for a Star Wars game?

There IS a campaign reason for this, but I don’t want to give too much away here just in case… (There are lurkers about!)

Space Opera can include gray areas no problem; they generally follow the good/neutral/evil scale. I'm wondering how Anakin falls without a Padme nor restriction of attachment, which to me was a good thing Lucas did with the Vader's development. I know it can be done, just curious.

I think I could maybe guess the reason, but wont for the lurkers. ;) You can feel free to send me e-mail on the details, cause I'm interested enough to play in this myself, but cant without lots of airfare and polishing my spanish.

Diggus, thank you for the compliment! I am glad the campaign makes you want to play it. You are right about the airfare, but curiously enough we do a lot of gaming in English. You would not get many of the jokes, which are in Spanish.

I’m going for a different kind of Anakin. First I remember reading the first essential guide to characters, it had all sorts of tidbits that were burned in my mind and for the longest time I thought they were SW canon.

First that Obi-Wan and Owen Lars were related, and have since learned where that came from. The other thigh is the idea that Anakin was a hot-shoot pilot Obi-Wan met and whom he could tell was powerful in the force. Obi-Wan took him under his wing as his first pupil and he was seduced by the dark side. I realize this is pretty sketchy and not terribly detailed, but in my mind Anakin was an adult who was taught as a Jedi well into his adulthood.

I see all different sorts of conflict and tribulations, a man trained in a time of war, not necessarily with all the foresight and care, by a first time master… You see where that is going?

I will drop you a line tomorrow to your e-mail with an account of what I have planned. Tonight I have to go to sleep.

General question, Black Sun, keep or ignore? Makes no difference to me!

Well, you need a criminal organization outside of Hutt Space, but to my mind an all pervasive crime syndicate of more than one planet seems too much of a stretch. I could see it more like the mafia, with the big families getting together to discuss, but without a super overlord.

In my mind, if the emperor could destroy the jedi, he wouldn't have allowed them to become as powerful as they seemed in that novel.

Good point iwatt. I agree… Want in on the background of the adventure? I could drop you and e-mail too when I write to Diggus. I’ll do that tonight when I come back from some meetings.

Hope everyone is all right.

Sure. If Anakin joins the Military order I can easyily see Vader evolving from their mentality. Grayer Jedi could become Sith or sith-like reasonably. Perhaps Skywalker gets seduced by Ventress? :]

Unless you have a Black Sun/ Xizor fan in your group leave'em out. Less work and you already got alot of competing factions.
