Something has gone wrong at a spellcasters tower/castle/dungeon- go check it out. :)

The king is offering a reward for the return of his {insert item here}.

But seriously more specifically then that. The same problem at almost the same location just change the monster and use a different map.

Here's a trend that I HATE:

"Ooo! What a cool idea for a society / power / magic trick! Let's make up a monster that has that society / power / magic trick!"

GUAHHHH!

This is 3E! Monsters can have class levels -- why must they each have a monoculture!?!

I'll tell you why -- because a book of alternate cultures is a "Setting", while a book of monsters (each incidentally having a unique power / society / magic trick) is a "Source Book". WHAT RUBBISH!

I really, REALLY wish I could find a book of nifty cultures / kingdoms / tactics which could be applied to normal, standard monster races -- to give them some life beyond "2 HD bad guy".

As it is, I have to do all this work myself. Feh.

I agree. I would like to see a book that explores different fantasy societies/governments- and even shows them during different times of their duration- beginning, middle, and end. That way they could be jigsaw'd into a campeign with more ease.

I voted adventures because I never use them.

I almost voted Prestige Classes, for almost the same reason, but there aren't many "just Prestige Classes" books out there. A few, yes, but not as many as there are adventures.

I've gotten some use out of the rest, if only inspiration.
