Whips and Insightful Strike

If you have a Swashbuckker, does the Insightful Strike work with whips? As it is a finessable weapon?

Also ... can you get a magical whip? Or does it have to stay under the Mighty category?

ie a Flaming Mighty (+2) Whip +1 ?

Whips are melee weapons in 3.5.

If Insightful Strike words with any finessable weapon, then yes, it would work with a whip.

Since whips are melee weapons, they do not need the Mighty categorization to apply their wielders' Strength bonus to damage.

Yes, you can make a magic whip.
