In 3.0, yes. In 3.5, no : it specifically states in the Whirlwind Attack feat that you forfeit all other attacks and any additional attacks from any other source. Such as: TWF, haste/weapon of speed, Cleave, and last :Follow up attacks from Improved trip. You can make your trip attacks, but you dont get to hit them with the follow up.
