White Wolf Planescape theory

I hope you're right, i love planescape, it would be great to see it for 3e reguardless of who publishes it. I think it was a mistake for wizards to not relaunch it themsevles using MotP for a staging ground.

those faction books would be cool, though.

Mwahahahahahahahahahaaaaa!

Well, remember this : in the seventh book, Harry will be 17 yrs old... I could see him all pale dressed in black with a little spider painted on his cheek ;)

About the main topic, I don't know if the rumour is likely, but it's certainly the setting that is most in line with the WoD spirit, and it's pretty close to the worldview in Mage...

Planscape sounds like a viable theory to me. Let's see if it actually happens. Don't forget Tony Dit... uh... Z something...elli designed the look of Planescape and has also done a lot of stuff for Changeling. Tony D was my main reason for really digging Planescape.

I hope White Wolf can pull it off.

If it's true, then it's my dream come true. Back when I first learned that almost all settings were going to be discontinued after switching to 3e, the first thing I thought was, "Damn. I hope someone picks Planescape up, and I hope it is WW". I think they are the ones that could make it even better than before. The very best thing that could happen would be that Monte Cook was involved in it somehow, and that the art was still by DiTerlizzi. The Planescape art was a big part of the mood for me! I don't care if they start publishing a ton of faction books; I'll do as I've done for the WoD games: buy the ones I want for my campaign, leave the others on the shelves. If they can make money off it, so much better.

I don't know what to think.
A priori it could be a good idea... but WW can also give really bad books. They could spoil Planescape...
Or they could resurrect it...

Doubts. Too many doubts...

In my eyes Tony DiTerlizzi (was that the name you where looking for Talon ;-) was the man that gave Planescape 'life'. His art is wat attracted me to Planescape in the first place and it wouldn't be the same without him! I hope that someone does do PS, but i would rather not see it done than see it done badly (if that makes any sense)...

Would WW be my first choice, probably not (although they have some really smooth stuff). But after carefull consideration i would think that WW would be the only choice (who else would have the resources and the talent to make this work? And don't say AEG, altough i dig their Rokugan stuff, the rest of their D20 stuff sucks, and so does their PR.)...

The fact that they might blow it is not a reason not to try. If it sucks, we'll just ignore it. But if it's good - and WW's track record is still very positive - then we win. Since the setting is not currently supported, we can't lose anything.

Sorry, but I disagree with you... a bit at least.

PS is not currently unsupported. It's unsupported by a publisher.
Planescape has an Official Fan Site, Planewalker.com with tons of stuff. And in it's companion site, www.ps3e.com, you can find a good deal of stuff for playing PS in 3E. And even, if you speak Spanish, you can even try the site of my signature, planewalker-es you can find a weekly expanding translation of planewalker.com and ps3e.com into Spanish.

I would hardly say unsupported...

That doesn't mean I wouldn't like a published doing a good work with Planescape...
