I don't think it's out yet. I'll check it tomorrow when I go to work.

I too am getting a little tired of the wait. How long have we waited and waited for this. I've got it ordered as well and I'm hoping that this book is as good as we've been told it's supposed to be.

Edit- Looking at the link... the review may have been an advance copy sent to someone so that they could give a review of the book. Notice that B&N.com [ NASDAQ: BNBN]( a separate company from the Barnes & Noble retail superstores[NYSE: BKS]) states that no new copy is avalible so I don't think it's out yet.

Not to be critical, but considering a) This book has been promised for 2 years according to above posts, and b) there are numerous hightly-rated books about covering the same topic--why does there seem to be such a hard core following waiting for the release of this book? Why are people so certain it will be good?

The book is done and at press, left Friday.

We were planning on making an announcement later this week as well as some pdf previews.

More news on a street date when our printer sends us proofs.

And then there was a stunned silence.

Glad to hear it. It's weird that fate itself seems to conspire to put similar themed books on the market at once as Empires has some war material in it, Cry Havoc just hit the stands and hopefully, soon, we'll have more options.

Either that or they are hurrying it up for the November release, which is a good time as any since the shopping holiday season is around the corner.

No, there aren't. There are no kingdom-management rules for d20 available. "Numerous highly-rated books about covering the same topic"? Uh-huh.

See above.

Perhaps because I'm a patient man of thirtysomething, not too caught up in the "me, me, me" complex of this generation. (You know? Those "young'uns" that want things not today but yesterday?)

As for it being good, that remains to be seen. But if it is two years in the making then they're not rushing their product out in the market like most I've seen. (You know? Those printed products that have blatant errors in grammer, rules content, and layouts, not too mentioned poor arts?)

I just hope that in those two years, they're very careful of the content before it reaches the final product stage (printing and distribution).

Kingdom Management in d20 is covered in

Empire by AEG/Mike Mearls
A closely forthcoming book Strongholds and Dynasties by Mongoose
Birthright 3e rules

Perhaps not numerous, but they're out there.

Mass Combat rules now covered by at least 4 books I can name off-hand (Cry Havoc, MH, Testament, Empire), and several I'm sure I can't
