On the other hand, I do wish someone with a cooler head than I could explain the following to Mr. Chick;

1. Playing D&D is no more inherently evil for having supernatural powers than watching a Superman movie. The players all know it's a work of fiction, and as such moral questions should be less along the lines of "God does not allow this in the real world, therefore it's sinful" and more along the lines of "If God allowed for (XYZ), would such actions please Him or displease Him". Unless he argues that every work of fantasy is inherently sinful, I'd like to see him worm out of this.
2. Some gamers describe horribly blasphemous acts in their games, and some game manufacturers have put out highly blasphemous books. True, but the same can be said of the comic book industry, and I don't see him calling comics the work of the devil.

I think he does believe that Superman movies (and anything involving supernatural powers) and most comics are indeed the work of the devil. So no argument there.

Yes I do have a warped since of humour from one side to the other. That still doesn't change my anger at that mans derogitory pictures, oh and that Buddhist tract was very violent as well from the wrong angle

J.C depicts a Buddhist telling a Christian he will pay for saying something against buddha I do not think that any Buddhist would ever lay a finger on another religions believers in anger, or violence ever

Actually, the thing with the Tycoon is it's pretty much his Anti-Muslim strip, redone for Buddhists. What in the video game world is called a straight port.

Firstly I must say this is a very interesting thread and it was a pleasure to read.........with that done, I can follow with my opinion on some Chick tracts.

I come from Poland, and I am proud that the current Pope comes from our country.The things I read in some tracts made me go furious:

"Satan's man (the Beast) will arise out of Rome as the world leader"

This is obviously reffering to the Pope. And this is what I call going too far. But, one of the Chick tracts even shows the Pope praying to St. Mary. Later in the tract it is said that this is idolatory and blasphemy.....

I think the Pope is the example Catholics should follow. A true holy man, preaching the Word even when in ill health. As a true Plosih man I think that Chick went overboard with his tracts saying that the Pope was evil and such...

Ps. I do not want to force my beliefs onto anyone. I did not mean to hurt anyones beliefs or religious feelings. If I did I am truly sorry.
