So, my questions for WotC about the demise of Dungeon & Dragon magazines got me wondering: What proportion of the online community did WotC expect to buy into their digital initiative?
Which in turn, made me post this poll - so are you interested?

Sure I'm interested but I'm not buying anything until I have a firm grasp of what is being offered and what price they're asking for it. Until then it's just speculation.

I think the DI is the next big thing in D&D. At least, I hope it is what I think it is...

I'm looking for tools that will make the game easier to play without dumbing it down. I think technology can help accomplish that. Generating characters electronically, playing with friends online, help with combat...that's what I hoping for. I think it will be much more than eBooks.

For me, it's going to depend on what's in it, whether there's anything I can use or not, and whether there's any support for older editions.

And on the cost.

So, undecided at this point.

I'm interested and I plan on subscribing, but in truth I don't check WotC's updates daily or even weekly and they already put out great stuff. So even if it's golden, I'm not sure how much good I'll really get out of it.

I have to laugh at the assertion that EN World is "the online community," though.

I'll consider it. Dragon had become useless to me, and I let my subscription lapse. Hopefully this new thing will be more useful, and there'll be some sort of trial thing.
