Who might be going to GenCon SoCal?

I'm probably coming down with a small group from Eugene, OR. We went last year, played the LG special "Ghost Towers of Inverness" and the Green Regent delve, "Under High Lord's Hall." Both were quite fun.

I'm really looking forward to Castle Greyhawk, which will hopefully will be one part silly, one part deadly....

...although I fear for my poor Gnomish wizard, who died in the last LG event he played in, right at the cusp of 6th level.

I'm probably going to come down with a troupe from the the SanFrancisco/Bezerkistan area.

Didn't make it last year but this year I'm planning on it.

Last year 5 of us drove from Salt Lake City to Indianapolis. This year I am trying to convince some friends to go to LA. Round trip flights are pretty cheap for me, so I'll be there either way.

I went last year, but this year I am not so sure.
I should have a 2 week old at that point, and it depends upon
whether Mrs. Arkham wants me to help with the little lass, or
gets annoyed with me and sends me off to play. ;-)

So I attended SoCal last year. It was my first convention. It was small, but it was the brand new Gen Con baby so it has plenty of room to grow.

The highlights of my trip included William Shatner's hilarious ramblings (he was very sick, but he never misses a commitment to a show), Val Kilmer's disappearing act (after showing up looking like Ted Kaszinsky), my friends in the band Warp 11 playing a show after the costume contest (and meeting Dr. Demento! He rocked), and partying the night away with my friends and fellow gamers.

I'm definitely going back this year, and not only am I going for the whole con this time (only went for the weekend last year), I'm bringing a van-load of people!

May or may not attend. I think Different Worlds may be represented at GenCon SoCal by another dealer. Have to see how it pans out....

I was just curious how many people are headed out this (or live here already) to help the west side GenCon grow?

I very much intend to be there. Of course, I meant to be there last year and had to work instead, so I'll just have to play it by ear.

Is there going to be an EN world/Pseudo-EN world booth/gathering?
