TSR Who or What am I? Dragon 94 Cover by Clyde Caldwell

Yeah, I went to Maxwell Air Force Base AL (from Minot AFB ND) in January for a four-week training course. I was outside in my short sleeves because it was 40 degrees out, staring at the locals all bundled up in their winter coats and woolen caps and scarves. Each of us thought the other one was crazy, but after 7 years stationed at Minot, I pretty much had peanut butter blood.

Here in NH the classic is 40F in October or Nov = shivering and bundled. 40F in March = shirts off and hollering!

It's funny but I think of acclimating to the HEAT each summer; it's probably true of the cold too, but I never think of it that way.
Until fairly recently I never minded the cold, even enjoyed it & winter (although -65 or so, with ice squeezing out of your eyes, is awful), but in middle age I have become sensitive to it, and quite dislike it now. To hell with winter!
Sweltering right now, as I type, though, the heat is still the one that needs acclimating to!
Sign me up for spring & fall!
