Who plays an Enchanter?

The enchanter in my game is wearing his copy of Joe's BoE ragged. Cripples everything in sight (which is quite deadly when the victim is in the rigging...).

Sleeps everything, charm persons people and leads them off to the slave pens, and is simply salavating at the possibility of Dominating folks.

Man, and people say necromancy is evil....

Enchantment, destruction of freewill, this has got to be the most vile school of magic there is.

Charms can be very potent, my wizard usually has a charm person and charm monster ready, at one point he had a gorgon and a giant beetle working with the party. I hate having no effect on saves though, it feels like you would be better off throwing rocks at the enemy when they fail.

From Joe's Book I like the permanent charm feat, although I prefer the feats from Quintessential wizard for charming constructs and undead.

I've used charm person a bit to aid in gather info checks, to get panicked npcs to calm down and trust me, and to keep an evil PC from attacking my good wizard.

I personally agree. I mean, zombies? They've got nothing upstairs. But I think that Dominated individuals have a little voice - still sane - in the back of their mind, screaming in horror.
