The erinyes one could lead to a different game plot as the aliens all get corrupted and charmed by her, falling under her control. Then she chooses who gets abducted and probed.

Since you want a SERIOUS answer...humans. Dominant species in terms of building settlements, so they're easy to find. Culturally advanced in most cases compared to other humanoids. Widespread and adaptable.

Have you seen the little gray dudes? They have no genitals! They probe people out of a quest for knowledge (I hope). They don't do it to score with hot chicks, that'd never be seen with a short, bald man that lacks a penis.

They do it for the simple sake of probing every sentient creature in the universe. On earth, they're rather limited. But in a D&D world, every other creature, plant, heck rock, is intelligent. We're talking probe burn out here.

They got a lot of probing to do & a short time to do it. When faced with the potential probing of anything/everthing, where should they start?
