Who would you rather face off against

This is just one of those things that popped into my head the other night as I was trying to fall asleep. Saddly I can't blame it on child abuse, drug abuse or anything else like that.

Believe me my life would be so much easier if it were so.

Who would rather face off against in a fight?

Venger, or Vecna?

Sure Vecna was a lich who got turned into artifacts, then a major power in ravenloft and finally a god, but Venger was the Son of the Dungeon Master and faced off against Taimat on a regular basis.

I voted for Vecna. However, I turned Vecna into a demilich long haul trucker in the United States (Dragon Earth version). I also made him instrumental in the destruction of The Lich King (TLK hated other liches, and they reciprocated), which made Vecna something of a hero.

Technically speaking he's still evil, but these days he's more apt to be an adventuring group's contact or even patron.

BTW, he's also an egotistical bastard, which means he's probably the most reliable freelance trucker in the business. It needs to get cross country by a certain time, it will get there by a certain time.

I voted Venger, because whenever it came down to a fight between the kids and Venger, Tiamat would always show off and chase Venger away.

Vecna, on the other hand, is an evil god. He would blast Tiamat and then blast you as a full-attack action.

What are you, kidding? Vecna became one of the most powerful wizards ever, before becoming a lich. He ruled a kingdom. His limbs have magic of their own. He went from mortal to undead to demigod to true god.

Venger couldn't kill a couple of whining kids with some neat toys.

If I had to fight one of them? Venger all the way. I'd just sit back and watch as either A) his convoluted plans fell apart around him on their own, or B) someone else showed up to kick his ass.
