Who's Got Rules for Cannons?

I need me some D&D cannons.

I they don't need to historically accurate, just work within the context of the game.

Anything that breaks them up into light/medium/heavy cannons would be esp. useful.

Anything that has rules for cannons blowing up in your face or misfiring will also be much appreciated.

Thanks in advance!

P.S. If this turns into a thread of people suggesting actual mehcanic for cannons I will move this to House Rules.

Stormwrack has basic rules on very primitive cannons (light bombard and great bombard) as siege weapons suitable for ship mounting. Nothing about misfires, but a description of each step of reloading and the checks required.

Skulls & Crossbones by Green Ronnin has rules for ship board cannons. The Musketeers (sp?) suplement by Avalanche games has rules as well. I hope that helps. Thanks Maester Luwin

d20 past also has cannon rules. It splits them up into two categories: field cannon (1-pounders to 12-pounders), and siege cannon (18-pounders to 60-pounders). It also has rules for some specialty shot. No rules for misfires, though.

Northern Crown has stats for 15 historically-based cannons, periers, mortars, and culverins. There are rules for loading times, effects of both roundshot and smallshot ammo, smoke, muzzle flash, noise, misfires, and fouls.

I strongly reccomend against using the d20 past rules. Thier lightest cannon actually does less damage than a .38 from a snub nosed revolver in d20 modern.

Broadsides has cannon rules, as well as solid (if complex) sailing rules.
