What about Johnny Lawrence from the Karate Kid (1984)?

Pure Evil.

I like "Evil Paladin" types. Honorable warrior-types, but just believe the strong have the right (and responsibility) to rule the weak. Ashram, the Black Knight from Lodoss Wars, comes to mind, or an evil Rommel (or even like the Desert Fox, maybe a good guy fighting for the bad guys' side, due to loyalty to country or the evil king's not-as-evil father or some such)

After that, evil megalomaniacal (maybe gods themselves) chessmaster-type villains. Emperor Palpatine, the god Bane, the Joker, Marvel's Apocalypse, etc. They often plan for years, decades, or centuries, and, when the PCs start to uncover the plot, not only is it at the almost-too-late point, but they can't believe how deep that particular rabbit-hole goes. (or, like Palpatine, the PCs come about after the villain has already ostensibly won)

Well maybe or maybe not...he does repent at the end of the first movie.

Sigh ... you're right....

::defiant::

But Raistlin recanted/repented at the end too right??

There, Raistlin ... best anti-hero villain of the 80's. (Yes IMO, better than Vader)

C.I.D.

Kiatiara is definitely one of my favorite villains. I don't like Raistlin at all, I detest him in fact. I generally like the knights of Neraka.

Jack Sparrow is also one of my favorite villains and I think he would be considered a villain since he is a pirate.

My favorite real life villain is definitely Aleister Crowley. His book of verse white stains definitely makes him a bad guy. What to say of the fact that the British press called him the wickedest man in the world.

Another villain I like is the character of Satan in the movie Bedazzled, played by Liz Hurley. I think she played one hot devil in that movie.

The Joker - Possesses a sense of "other-ness" that even fantastical creatures in fiction usually fail to achieve. Completely impossible to connect with, let alone reason with. Paradoxically insightful and able to get inside people's heads. Driven, specifically and explicitly committed to doing harm.

One is The Joker ... I haven't seen Hath Ledger's portrayal yet.
Huh? You should.
