The burly fellow is none other than Belag Dagor, a kind logger afflicted with the terrible curse of being a berserker, and rumored to have cut down several acres of woodland during one of his fabled frenzies.

The female is obviously Azelia, evil seductress often posing as a follower of Sharess.

I remember when Iron Heroes was in the works, we asked Mike Mearls to describe a particular picture for us...

We got all kinds of cool tidbits about the game from Mike's description. *sigh* Good times, good times.

More on topic, both the male and the female look VERY much like they belong in an Iron Heroes setting. I'd have to give it some thought to figure out who exactly they are...

I'll get back to you...

Anybody have a history for this guy? :)

Oh, man, am I ever busted. The big Grizzly Adams guy is actually Big John Aylecast, a game warden from my very first Warhammer campagin.

I remember him because he was one of the very few characters I ever played that didn’t die or simply fade away- After helping to rid the land of The Big Evil Thing he quietly retired from adventuring life. I mean, how often does that happen?

What an awesomely fun thread idea!!!

I don't know who any of the PC's are, but that sword is Foeturner, a malignantly evil blade of epic might.

The plinth it hovers over was miraculously undamaged (possibly by intervention from Foeturner itself) following the magical siege of the fortress of K'feyne, (an elven archmage) whose collection of magical objects was quite renowned. Of course, that siege was years ago, and K'feyne has since moved on to another location... but apparently he forgot Foeturner.

Foeturner
Vicious Bastard Sword +3 (Intelligent, Telepathic communicator)
Alignment: Chaotic neutral
INT 17, WIS 10, CHA 17
Skills: Bluff +13, Diplomacy +13, locate object 3/day, clarivoyance 3/day
(58,000 gp)

Foeturner exists to destroy parties. He carefully allows himself only to be chosen by weak-willed individuals of simpler mindset than himeslf. (in the illustration, you can see Jameri the Unflinching poking Foeturner with a stick, partially at Foeturner's own suggestion) He regularly uses his own claravoyance to spy on other party members, just waiting for them to slight his wielder in any way, no matter how minor. He then communicates with his welder, using his high social skills to turn the most minor incedents into full-blown arguments, alternately goading his wielder into pressing the issue, and assuring him that he is completely in the right.

Foeturner never acknowledges his ego to anyone but his chosen wielder. If he finds his wielder unworthy, or if he is pressed into the use of a wielder other than his chosen one, he may use his locate object ability to subtly lead the unworthy wielder to another weapon they may prefer, and empathicly hint that his chosen one gets him.

I think he is William Walden in Deadland Reloaded. He is good with a gun, yet he's renown for his explosives and weird devices, as the guy is before all an engineer and weird scientist.

The man is Helso Gaye, ridiculed as a child for his silly-sounding name and driven into the life of a bard, the only profession where he ever felt at home. He prefers dressing in pink tutus on stage, but when he puts his night clothes on, he becomes The Skald a superhero with the power to sing until his enemies' eardrums pop and heave small children across long distances with a single throw.
