Why aren't flat chested women ever barmaids?

that's just not very accurate.

Accurate? Accurate?!? Given how much of the busty art we see isn't within the realm of normal human proportions, I don't see how 'accuracy" has anything to do with it.

And, by the way, the whole "being busty means they have stronger lower back muscles to carry beer" sounds pretty questionable to me. The busty women I know all say that the extra baggage causes lower back pain, rather then prepares them for more.

So, much to my eternal annoyance, men don't find me romantically attractive. I think I've managed to land a grand total of two dates in 28 years.

Never tried serving beer...

Well there's your problem right there.

*chuckles a bit* I did spend a couple days each week on the overnight shift where I had to serve coffee to the drunks that drifted over from the local bar closing. I'm not sure who I wanted to kill more after each shift: myself or them.

In my experience as a server tip money is more a question of being able to read and react to people than it is to being attractive or not. Sure occasionally one of the pretty girls will get a good tip just for being pretty, but I do much better on the whole for knowing how to talk and, more importantly, listen to people.
Those two things aren't mutually exclusive, though... and in a bar in which most of the patrons are too drunk/loud/preoccupied with the latest brawl...er, sports match to pay much attention to civilized conversation, getting tips does end up being a matter of being cute enough and nice enough. There's no question that service at a Michelin-starred establishment has much, much different requirements from looking good in a revealing outfit, but the taverns of a typical D&D campaign probably resemble the average dive bar a lot more than they resemble Taillevent.

Its a east wanting to be western kindof thing. Is this what your talking about? Its alot more common i think with people who have Asian decent and live in America or other western nations.
If my Mom and her friends are any indication (Korean), what they're often doing is having the epicanthic fold removed. It's apparently a quite common cosmetic surgery procedure.

And to expand on an earlier comment of mine about Ninja's and boobs, or the lack there of....You wouldnt know it if the typical Japanese media view of female ninjas are what you're used to. If you can FIND a flat chested female Ninja in Anime or games, I'll be very surprised. Although, traditionally, arent female ninjas (kunoichi) supposed to be the ones who use seduction to begin with? Maybe they could serve beer with the best of them...the better to put the poison in. :D

I have a couple of answers for this. I've worked as a waitress/bartender, and the most applicable of these situations would be my experience at the Piratz Tavern, where all of the staff dress like piratz.

#1. It is easier to carry/balance plates, steins, etc. on good cleavage. I can generally carry 1.5 times as much stuff if I can balance it on my boobs.

#2. Tips. It's sometimes the difference of making $5 or $20.

#3. Science/Genetics. More and more women nowadays have larger breasts (Thanks growth hormones!) Especially in people born in the late 70's to 80's. And this generational age group is the one most commonly found in the service industry right now.
