Why D&D wins my gaming minutes...

I was just going over my pile of Dungeon Magazines, Free-download adventures from Wizards, my classic modules from years gone by (A1, A2, etc. ect.), and the Goodman Game modules I'd already bought when I realized that, if I wanted to, I'd never have to make another adventure from scratch for as long as I live (or at least the rest of my gaming life).

With the small amount of time I'm currently able to put towards the game and the fact that I'm not even running the game I am in (Thanks, DMFitzgerald!), I might not even scratch the surface of what I do have.

I think this is why I keep coming back to D&D (in many of it's incarnations: Basic AD&D , AD&D 1e, 2e, D&D 3e and 3.5e) and will probably keep playing it into its future editions. The support for this game is phenominal! Couple that with the HUGE base of available players and DMs (compared to other RPGs) and it's just a winning combo for me.

Oh sure, there are other games that I like better (Savage Worlds, I'm looking at you!), might even be "better" than D&D, and (some) have pretty good support, but nothing, NOTHING compares to the vast sea of stuff and people for D&D.

That's why I think D&D will continue to be the Big Dog on the Block: Fun, Tons o' stuff, Lots o' players.
