Back to the original topic, I think that 3d printing aficionados underestimate how extremely off-putting the process is to a lot of folks. 3d printing is not remotely like printing a spreadsheet. It's a serious investment with significant costs attached. If you don't have a separate workshop, quality 3d printing is basically non-viable unless you and everyone you live with is highly tolerant. And if you go for the cheaper, less intrusive options, the end product is not high enough standard for me as a miniatures enthusiast and painter.
