Why EN World was down for 13 hours

I'd be interested in what cyberstreet found out about the attack - I teach these things, and real life examples are always great.

If anyone wants to know more about Denial of Service attacks, one of the best places I've used and referred many students to is www.grc.com
Steve Gibson, of Gibson Research Corporation, is a security specialist, and has a couple great articles about DoS's, as well as the more-likely and common Distributed DOS (DDoS) and now DRDoS (a Reflecting attack).

Interesting reading here: http://grc.com/dos/drdos.htm
and the original Classic DDoS Report: http://grc.com/dos/grcdos.htm

I'm just going to second this, especially the article about how www.grc.com was attacked and how Mr. Gibson responded... it's quite amusing, and very educational.
