Why I will go to DDI

And for us who get work freelancing, it's actually a tax write-off. ;)
Just be careful. If you use it 50% for freelancing and 50% for personal use, you should only deduct 50% of it (for example). Not that you'll be audited for a $120 deduction, but still.

I, for one, don't want the rules from supplements and Dragon/Dungeon in the database. The books aren't much of an expense for me, but I'm choosing not to buy them because I don't want to use them. If my players are making PCs using DDI and new material automatically pops up, it'll be tough to tell them they must ignore it. If the sources of info can't be selected and unselected (such as, with the current HeroForge), then this most useful part of the DDI for me becomes a lot less useful to me.

I have been planning on signing up to DDI anyway, this makes it all the better. I wonder if the database will be for core only, or if it will encompass the different settings...
Will I, as an FR DM, be able to pick only specific rules and settings and then search the Database...I wonder if it will also have a print facility..Doubt that but gotta hope.

I don't think the price of the PDF is going to be about the price of a cup of cofee though not anymore. could be wrong though, It would still be possible if the physical book had a code where we could get a massive discount on the PDF maybe as much as 90%. If the pdf was say $20-$30 the price with your discount would only be $2 or $3

Looking forward to it
