Because it's been out of print for several years (being a 3.0 book), probably didn't have an enormous print run to start with, and has never been replaced with a 3.5 update.

Everything used on Amazon is overpriced. I looked at Return to the Temple and it was crazy.

Lots of good places to look in otehr places. Try some of the used book dealers, they might have a reasonable copy.

Unfortunatley as a WOTC product, it will not be reasonably priced as a pdf.
