Why is there no talk about the Castle Keepers Guide preview?

I have a bunch of d20 stuff by the Trolls, but no C&C (except the Zagyg stuff). Next time we game at your place, I'd like to check out the C&C books.

DaveMage: Sure; you are welcome to borrow them as well if you wanted to glance over them in detail.

OK, well if that's the case, then fine. Did you and the other 22 CKs feel this errata document should have been made by the Troll Lords? And is it a valid errata document fixing problems with the then current revision?

Yeah, we were fine with it, we were asked to do it. Which they then used to clean up the second printing, and so on. A number of us always send in errata we find with each printing, so you rarely see repeated mistakes. A couple still happened, but almost all errors in the newest printings are new mistakes. Like in the 4th Printing PH no one mentioned any mistakes being repeated and I didn't notice any.

Forgive a minor threadjack, but how can one know which printing one's book is? My C&C Player's Handbook is this cover

Excellent! Now where can I get the 1 --> 2 errata doc and the 2 --> 3 fan errata doc?

Good question, I can't find them. Not that I ever felt a need for them, it was all, or nearly all, spelling/word errors, nothing that interfered with game play. The only thing I needed errata for was the M&T first printing. That had important errors in the monster write ups. If you have the M&T second printing there were no rules errors.

The only suggestion I can think to make is to go on the TLG forums and ask if anyone has the errata still on their hard drives, I have had too many crashes in the last few years.

Look what I found:

One of the things that I wish they would errata is the initiative rules for some of the classes: I think that rogues and rangers should add their level to their initiative rolls. That way clerics don't end up with the best initiative rolls for all encounters (it becomes high level rogues and rangers instead).

???? are you talking in the CKG? Because in the PH everyone only rolls a D10, no modifiers. p. 115, third printing.

If your talking the CKG, I got mine today, so please tell me what page your talking about so I can read it. Looking at the ToC I don't see any obvious candidates.

I have to say that the editing in the Mongoose Traveller books that I've purchased isn't great. Much of the books seem rushed and the material isn't that great. The artwork is subpar too.

Very true!

In the last years, Mongoose produces with Traveller the worst layouted and worst illustrated books I have seen in my 27 years of and more than 80 feet of RPG collecting.

Every trainee of mine could produce a cleaner and better layout after 2-3 weeks of practice. Compared to the size of Mongoose and the value of the Traveller license, their layout, their illustrations and maps are often offensively bad.
