Consider it a challenge to adapt your group's gaming style to a different mechanic -- if big doses of Insta-Heal(tm) ala traditional cleric aren't available, then DON'T GET HURT.
That (not-so-)subtle shift in attitude and behavior will more than likely produce a campaign with a very different feel. And, really, isn't that one of the reasons you wanted to play a psi-based game anyway? To try something different?
